YEREVAN, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS. The global economy is not experiencing the best of times. Trade, industrial and logistics connections, which had just started to recover after the pandemic, are experiencing new shocks, ARMENPRESS reports, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in his welcoming speech at the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council held in Yerevan.

“The fundamentals of the global economic system are being challenged. In today’s unstable economic realities, no one doubts the requirement and relevance of regular high-level dialogue aimed at more systematic and coordinated cooperation. Mutual understanding interests, willingness to compromise and cooperation can be the key to solving many problems. In this context, in the true sense of the word, I will mention the daily work within the framework of the EEU, in terms of responding to the problems that arise. pose at all levels and develop systematic measures,” Pashinyan said.

On October 20, the meeting of the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council began in Yerevan.

Prime Ministers of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board Chairman Mikhail Myasnikovich arrived in Armenia for the session.

Issues relating to the development of integration processes in the Eurasian space will be addressed in sessions with a restricted and expanded format. Participants will focus specifically on the digital agenda. The process of preparing agreements on the formation of a single gas market, as well as markets for oil and oil products will also be discussed. Accordingly, the participants should sign decisions providing for the further development of Eurasian economic integration.
